I started my educational journey at NBCM (now Midwest Christian Montessori Academy) when I was in preschool and I attended until the end of fourth grade. I am currently a junior at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. I play for the Women’s Basketball team and am majoring in Special Education with a concentration in English.
Being a student at NBCM played a huge role in shaping me into the learner and individual that I am today. From our daily worships all the way to our class time instruction, I was always surrounded by peers and teachers who genuinely cared for my success. I was encouraged to explore new ways of thinking and I was also able to be very independent with my work. It is my hope to carry some of the practices of New Beginnings into my future classroom.
A noble man once said that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. Teaching is my passion and it is my hope that I impact the lives of my future students in the same way that my teachers at New Beginnings did. I want my students to maximize their potential; regardless of level of learning or socioeconomic class. With this being said, it is my hope to give my future students the same experience that my teachers at New Beginnings did because my experience with them has truly made me into the person that I am today.
